This, I love

As seen at O’Donnell Web, even the schools themselves are starting to admit their kids aren’t so well socialized, afterall. Now they’re designing classes to curb the gossiping, rumor-spreading and snubbing that’s endemic to girls. And as the O’Donnell site questions, endemic to girls? Or to girls who go to school. Hang with a few homeschooled young girls, and then some in public education. Tell me you don’t see an amazing difference. That is not flattering to most girls not being left behind.

Worried about socialization in homeschooling? Ha. I’m worried about socialization in those schools. Do people really not see what kind of kids we’re turning out of our bastion of public education? Get your heads out of the sand, people. That system has a fatal disease. When we have reached a day when our school counselors feel compelled to come up with a class to teach how to handle yourself, and those around you, it is too far gone to revive. Pack the oxygen back up. Call the coroner. Socialization? What we’re talking about here really, is character. And values. And the most basic notion of how to be kind. Treat others as you would like to be treated. That the world does not, and will not revolve around you. Where are the parents whose children don’t have any clue as to handling conflict, or hurt, or exhibiting self control? Oh, maybe off thinking the world revolves around them.
