Man.

It is a sickness. Really. I. just. have. to. say. one. more. thing. (why oh why can’t I just ignore some things?)

I’ve gotten several comments that a certain previous, won’t mention it’s name or content again, post was not quite on target, or that it was misleading. Or rambled. Or should have had a better introduction to the content that followed, and the like.

I really was under the impression here that while some posts will be like that, because it’s an on day, or it just turns out that way, that others are just what blogging is about. Rambling. Free association thinking. Wandering. I did not think that these posts were subject to grading based on style, being consistently on point, or a good introductory paragraph.

Maybe I rant

but I do not want to do it with incorrect information. COD from ODonnell Web pointed out that I misinterpreted something from his site.

I saw this, as he reported, not supported:

GMALASHEP

It’s pronounced Ga-Mala-Shep, and it’s apparently some sort of secret organization that is organizing the boycott of Homeschoolblogger. It’s just a tool they are using to spread their anti-Christian message far and wide…BTW, it stands for Gay, Marxist, Atheist, Libertarian, ACLU Supporting, Home Educating Parents.

And he explained:

Your quotation of me, as I read it, missed the whole point of my original post, which was a sarcastic poke at the crowd that thinks there is some organized Gay, Atheist, whatever group behind the boycott of HSB. There is no group. The boycott was sparked by Gena’s [of Homeschool Blogger, defending the tactics used by the Pearls] ridiculously insensitive comments in the newspaper. Comments that, to date, she still has neither apologized for, or refuted as inaccurate.

99% of my readers would not be interested in most HSB blogs anyway - the whole thing was mostly a symbolic gesture on my part to raise awareness of the fact that the ownership of HSB not only accepts advertising dollars, but openly supports the methods advocated by The Pearl’s. And since I’ve heard from several parents that have reconsidered their attitude towards the Pearl’s and those that support them, I consider the whole thing an unqualified success. At least one kid may have been spared a future whipping because of my silly little logo that I spent all of 10 minutes on.

I told him, when this was pointed out, that I would gladly, and readily make the correction. So here it is. And, this is the only reason I revisited this topic at all. Now, onward to other things. Thanks, Chris. Hope the boyscout camp out was terrific.

My new kitchen counters rock. When I’m not so tired, I’ll post a pic. The Colonel and my Dad performed acts of great mastik (sp?) slinging and tile leveling. The end result will be great.

In other Project Home Remodel news, my mom and I were able to eradicate the heinous bright margarine yellow that has haunted us from our halls, and foyer. Color to cover this? Something along the lines of caffe au lait.

Beats margarine yellow any day.

Tomorrow, more paint, and a lot of grout.

Over and out.
