I am sufficiently skeeved out by male GYNs that I will only see female ones. With the one exception being the amazing Dr. Andrew Cook, who saved my life when an endometrial tumor was juuuuust about to kill me.

And it's not just unpleasant for me, or uncomfortable, it hurts, the pap smear does. Apparently I have the joy of an ultra-sensitive cervix. Whee. Just that stupid swab touching it plasters me to the ceiling.

When we were tryinig to conceive, I tried to have that test where they run the tiny tiny cathether through your cervix and flush your fallopian tubes to see if they're clear...they never did get the thing through, and I screamed so loudly and horribly that they escorted me out via the clinic's back door and did not charge me for the visit! I can only imagine what the women in the waiting room were thinking!
